Welcome! My name is Moriah, and I am so happy to be able to offer lactation education and support within my home community, the greater New Orleans Area!

I was born and raised here in New Orleans, and only moved away in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. I met my husband in Georgia, and we were married after I earned my degrees from Agnes Scott College and Emory University. We now have three children, and have since also lived in Virginia, Japan, California, and North Carolina, but there’s no place like home!

My love for lactation began with my first experience navigating breastfeeding my eldest daughter, and was later set ablaze with the difficulty of nursing my youngest son. The help that I received was something I sincerely hope to pass on to whomever will have me.

When I am not assisting other families, I most enjoy spending time with my own immediate and extended family. I love growing plants, (though I am not always successful), running outside, West African dance and drum, writing poems, tasting new foods, and being my animated self.

I have been a registered nurse for 12 years, and have worked with maternal-child health populations for the past three years.

It will be my pleasure to meet and serve you and your family. - Moriah
